Make is the platform to manage all your automations and AI agents in one visual landscape – for teams driving business impact without relying on developers. Part of Celonis, a global leader in process intelligence recognized on the Forbes Cloud 100 for seven consecutive years, we're headquartered in Prague, Czechia, with hubs in Madrid, Munich, Raleigh, and Pristina, and teams across the UK, France, India, and the Netherlands, among other locations.

We’re looking for a Mobile App Developer Intern (Working Student) to help build and shape the next generation of the Make mobile app, in a highly autonomous setup backed by the scale, impact, and resources of Make. 💜

This is not a shadowing internship. You will ship, starting from August.

Please note: interview for this role requires on-site presence on the afternoon of 22 July at our Prague office.

The technical challenge

Make runs millions of scenarios daily across 200+ countries, with a reliability SLO target of 99.95%. On mobile, you’ll help build a native experience on top of that platform using modern technologies (Kotlin Multiplatform and SwiftUI) and integrate with our backend services over RESTful APIs.

We deploy many times a day, use feature flags for conscious releases, and expect engineers to own their work end-to-end, from idea to production. You’ll stay close to the product, prototyping fast and iterating constantly.

The team you’ll join

You’ll join the mobile engineering effort within our Product, eXperiences & Engineering org, working side by side with the engineering lead who owns mobile and the product manager shaping where the apps go next. The setup is small and largely greenfield, so your footprint is big from day one: you help define how mobile works at Make, not just maintain what exists, and your features reach users on iOS and Android worldwide.

What you’ll do

Rapidly prototype, implement features, and optimize mobile experiences

Interface with backend engineering teams to align on API contracts and data integration

Submit pull requests, receive structured feedback, and pair program on complex problems

Use AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot as part of your daily workflow

Work on features used by thousands of global users

Who we’re looking for

Core foundations

Currently enrolled or a recent graduate of a university program

Fluent English (spoken and written)

Solid software engineering foundations: clean logic, problem-solving, and a good grasp of programming basics

Basic knowledge or experience in mobile development: Swift/SwiftUI, Kotlin, or cross-platform concepts (side projects, school projects, or hobby apps count)

Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and how a mobile client fetches and sends data to backend services

AI literacy: eagerness to use modern agentic development workflows (Claude Code, Cursor) responsibly and effectively

Platform fluency a plus (Slack, Google Workspace, etc.)

Mindset matters

High agency and autonomy: you take ownership and figure out how to get things done

A balanced, AI-assisted developer: you use AI tools heavily to accelerate your work, but you understand exactly what the code does

Creativity and a product mindset: you think about user experience, not just code

You ask “why” before writing code, and you prefer building and iterating over overthinking

You’re not afraid to challenge ideas constructively

What you’ll gain

Production-level coding experience and direct exposure to how global SaaS systems are built

Modern development practices in a professional, AI-native environment

Growth from a pure developer into a holistic builder who balances code quality, design fidelity, and user experience

Location: Make office at Palmovka, Prague (at least two days a week in the office)

Commitment: part-time, minimum 20 hours per week, alongside your studies
