Accountant

Accountant – Qatar CLIENT

Linum Consult’s client is a major international company. They are urgently seeking an Accountant to be based in their office in Doha, Qatar.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducting the accounts payable cycle and accounts receivable cycle
• Preparing payment batches
• Conducting AR collection meetings
• Carrying out monthly invoice billing to customers and following-up on collections
• Executing month-end closure tasks: bank uploads, GL entries (accruals, prepayments, provisions), reconciling intercompany balances, etc.
• Reporting the consolidated financial statements to the company’s head office, on a monthly basis
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns and reconciliations
• Conducting quarterly external reporting on financial information to one of the company’s investments in Qatar
• Finalising annual reports and assisting with the audit
• Updating the automated billing system on a monthly basis

PROFILE

• Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, ideally with a professional qualification such as CA or ACCA
• At least 8 years’ experience in accounting, with 2-3 years in a similar role
• Solid understanding of Qatari accounting rules and regulations
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Immediate availability
