Experienced Hospitality Manager required for busy bar, restaurant and guest accommodation operation in Navan, Co. Meath

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ management experience in a busy hospitality operation
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate and manage a team effectively
  • Ability to work in a busy, quality-driven environment
  • Flexibility to work midweek, weekends and evenings as required
  • Good knowledge of food, beverage and hospitality operations
  • Experience with staff rostering, training and day-to-day operational management
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the bar, restaurant and guest accommodation, ensuring a consistently high standard of service.
  • Lead, manage and motivate the hospitality team, ensuring staff are trained, supported and working to the required standards.
  • Ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times and create a positive experience for all guests.
  • Deal with customer enquiries, requests and complaints promptly and professionally, resolving issues where possible and escalating to senior Management when required.
  • Ensure all food and beverage service is carried out efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Have a full knowledge of allergen awareness and ensure all dietary requirements are communicated and managed correctly.
  • Oversee the cleanliness, presentation and general standards of the bar, restaurant, guest areas and accommodation.
  • Ensure guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the required standards and liaise with housekeeping and reception as required.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock control across the bar, restaurant and accommodation operation.
  • Ensure cash handling, till procedures and end-of-shift procedures are completed accurately.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing training, guidance and support.
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed by staff.
  • Report any maintenance issues, errors, faults or operational concerns that cannot be resolved to Management.
  • Have a full knowledge and understanding of all bar, restaurant and accommodation services, facilities and opening hours and communicate these to guests as required.
  • Be aware of, and adhere to, all Health and Safety, fire safety, food safety and security procedures.
  • Assist with the smooth running of functions, events and busy service periods as required.

The Ideal Candidate will have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, a strong understanding of hospitality operations and the desire to provide consistently high customer service. They will be organised, hands-on, approachable and confident in managing a busy team and dealing with the day-to-day challenges of a hospitality operation.
