Job Summary
As a medic at Lentor Ambulance, you will provide essential medical care during patient transport, applying clinical skills, critical thinking, and compassion to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ medical conditions upon arrival by gathering vital signs and relevant information to inform care decisions
- Administer basic life support (BLS) including CPR, oxygen therapy, and bleeding control to stabilize patients
- Perform non-invasive procedures according to established protocols to support patient care
- Monitor and document patient condition continuously throughout transport to ensure accurate clinical records
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families to enhance patient experience
- Ensure ambulance is fully stocked with necessary medical supplies and medications to maintain readiness
- Conduct routine checks and maintenance on medical equipment to guarantee operational safety and reliability
- Maintain a clean and sanitized ambulance environment to uphold infection control standards
- Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, dispatch, and hospital staff regarding patient status and transport details
- Accurately document all patient care activities including assessments, interventions, and outcomes for legal and clinical purposes
- Maintain complete, confidential medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Collaborate effectively with ambulance drivers and healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care
- Participate actively in ongoing training and education to stay updated on best practices in emergency medical care
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Higher Nitec in Paramedic and Emergency Care, Diploma in Paramedicine, or Bachelor in Paramedic Science
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing registered with Singapore Nursing Board, with ACLS or LSCN certification
- UPEC certification (applicable to all applicants as a professional requirement for practice)
- Experience in SAF or SCDF emergency services to enhance operational readiness
- Class 3 driving license to support flexible operational roles (optional)
Other Information
This is a full-time role with potentially rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
