Software Engineer (Frontend-Focused Full Stack)

Key Responsibilities Participate in all phases of agile software development , including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring
Build and evolve high-performance frontend applications using Next.js , with a focus on usability and scalability
Contribute to backend services using Node.js and NestJS , supporting RESTful APIs and workflows
Apply OOP principles and modern JavaScript (ES6+) to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
Architect systems optimized for speed, scalability, and reliability
Collaborate with design, product, backend, and underwriting teams to deliver user-centered features
Research, prototype, and evaluate new tools and technologies to improve our development workflow
Collaborate with a hybrid, globally distributed team across time zones using Slack, GitHub, shared documentation, and Zoom
Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
3-5+ years building modern, scalable React-based web applications ; experience with Next.js is a plus
Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js , and RESTful API design
Solid understanding of OOP and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
Experience with TDD and automated testing frameworks
Experience with AWS or cloud-based infrastructure
Bonus : NestJS, WebSockets, Ruby on Rails, and/or Python experience
