Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead AV Installation Technician to oversee and execute commercial audiovisual (AV) installations across a variety of environments, including corporate offices, conference rooms, educational facilities, and other commercial spaces. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on AV installation experience, leadership capabilities, and the ability to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
This position is 50% overnight travel with 50% local travel.
Responsibilities:
Lead and perform commercial AV system installations, including displays, projectors, video walls, microphones, speakers, cameras, control systems, and conferencing solutions
Supervise and mentor junior technicians and installers on job sites
Interpret and execute installation plans, drawings, and technical documentation
Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution
Rack, mount, terminate, label, and test AV equipment and cabling (Cat6, fiber, HDMI, speaker wire, etc.)
Configure and test AV systems to ensure optimal performance and functionality
Troubleshoot and resolve installation and system issues efficiently
Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry best practices
Maintain accurate documentation, as-built drawings, and job status reports
Provide on-site client support and basic user training as needed
