Job Description
- Operate CNC milling and CNC turning machines to manufacture precision metal components.
- Set up and operate CNC machines according to production drawings and work instructions.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and measurements.
- Perform basic machine setting, tool changing and offset adjustments.
- Conduct dimensional inspection using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers and gauges.
- Ensure finished products meet required quality and tolerance standards.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and report machine or production issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping of the work area.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and production requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in Precision Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
- Relevant experience in CNC milling and/or CNC turning is preferred.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Familiar with basic measuring instruments and CNC machine operations.
- Knowledge of CNC programming or G-code is an advantage.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work overtime when required.
- Fresh candidates with relevant technical qualifications may also be considered.
