Business Development Manager
Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, referrals, and direct prospecting. Generate, qualify, and manage leads through the sales and business development pipeline. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Conduct client meetings, presentations, negotiations, and business proposals. Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets. Research market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities. Prepare proposals, quotations, presentations, and partnership documents. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and partnership agreements within company guidelines. Follow up with prospects and convert qualified leads into new business opportunities. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships that support business expansion. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to improve lead generation and client acquisition. Monitor sales pipeline, business development activities, conversion rates, and revenue performance. Prepare regular business development reports and provide management insights. Attend networking events, conferences, exhibitions, and industry meetings to promote the company. Maintain accurate records of client interactions, prospects, and opportunities using CRM systems. Identify challenges affecting business growth and recommend practical solutions.
Requirements:
Minimum of an HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Economics, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or a related role. Proven track record of generating leads, acquiring clients, and achieving sales or revenue targets. Strong sales, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong networking and relationship-management abilities. Good knowledge of market research, customer acquisition, and business development strategies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent proposal writing and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented. High level of professionalism, integrity, and commercial awareness.
