Oracle Xstore Developer

Accountabilities: The Oracle Xstore Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting Oracle Retail Xstore POS solutions. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver reliable retail applications.

Design, customize, develop, and enhance Oracle Retail Xstore POS applications.

Build and maintain solutions using Java, XML, SQL, and Oracle technologies.

Integrate Oracle Xstore with enterprise platforms and third-party systems through APIs and web services.

Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues by identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.

Support testing, deployment, release management, and application enhancement activities.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

Participate in code reviews and ensure development practices follow quality and security standards.

Create and maintain technical documentation for ongoing support and system improvements.

Contribute to Agile development processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Support the stability, performance, and reliability of business-critical retail applications.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has strong Oracle Xstore development experience, solid programming skills, and a deep understanding of retail point-of-sale systems. You should be comfortable working independently while collaborating with distributed teams to deliver high-quality enterprise solutions.

5+ years of hands-on experience developing Oracle Retail Xstore POS solutions.

Strong experience with Java, XML, SQL, and Oracle databases.

Proven experience integrating Oracle Xstore with external applications using APIs and web services.

Solid understanding of retail POS workflows, store operations, and retail technology environments.

Experience troubleshooting production issues and supporting enterprise-level applications.

Strong analytical thinking, debugging abilities, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in Agile development environments.

Experience with Oracle Retail Suite products is preferred.

Knowledge of retail enterprise architecture is an advantage.

Experience with deployment processes, release management, and cloud-based retail solutions is a plus.
