About This Role Value Marine Limited—a marine, engineering, and dredging firm—is recruiting a Heavy-Duty Vehicle Mechanic based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, with deployments across various project sites. This full-time field role involves servicing and overhauling heavy trucks, low beds, earthmoving equipment, excavators, wheel loaders, cranes, and industrial generators to maintain peak operational uptime. Key Responsibilities

Engine & Hydraulic Overhauls: Diagnose, repair, and overhaul diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, braking systems, and high-pressure hydraulic units. Preventive & Breakdown Servicing: Conduct scheduled inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency field repairs to minimize machinery downtime. Pre-Deployment Audits: Perform mechanical integrity checks on equipment prior to site mobilization to verify operational readiness. Maintenance Logs: Keep accurate job cards, replacement parts tracking, service records, and HSE compliance documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

Core Competencies: Diesel engine diagnostics, hydraulic/transmission systems overhaul, technical manual interpretation, and emergency troubleshooting. Key Attributes: Safety-conscious, team-oriented, resilient under field conditions, and capable of managing breakdown emergencies.
