Sales cum Event Manager
Job Summary
The Sales cum Event Manager drives sales growth, manages client relationships, and oversees event planning and execution from enquiry to completion, ensuring seamless operations and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Identify client event needs and recommend tailored event solutions within budget
- Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations, and presentations to prospective clients
- Generate new sales leads and nurture relationships with existing clients to maximize revenue
- Coordinate event planning activities including timelines, suppliers, logistics, manpower, and internal teams
- Conduct site visits and client meetings to align event execution with client expectations
- Manage event setup, execution, and teardown to ensure smooth and timely operations
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers to secure timely delivery of event requirements
- Monitor and control project budgets, costs, schedules, and event deliverables for profitability and quality
- Resolve last-minute operational issues during events to maintain service standards
- Provide excellent customer service and conduct post-event follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Events Management, Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field
- Experience in sales, events, account management, hospitality, or customer service
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Sales-driven mindset with confidence in client engagement and deal closure
- Organised and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Effective problem-solving and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as event demands
- Possession of a valid driving licence is an advantage
