About Us JLCD is a Singapore-based specialist in underground utility detection and trial trenching. We support main contractors, consultants and government agencies on infrastructure, MRT, drainage, healthcare and industrial projects across Singapore.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site inspections across our trial trenching sites islandwide to ensure workers comply with WSH requirements and company safety procedures
  • Enforce safe work practices on site and take immediate corrective action on unsafe acts or conditions
  • Carry out periodic checks during weekend and night works, and be stationed full-time on site when required by the client
  • Liaise with clients and main contractors on safety matters, including site safety meetings, inspections and audits
  • Prepare weekly safety reports, including records of any non-compliance and follow-up actions taken
  • Prepare and maintain safety documentation required by clients, and coordinate with our project coordinator on related submissions
  • Conduct investigations into safety incidents or lapses, identify root causes and recommend preventive measures
  • Prepare and conduct early morning safety briefings for site workers once or twice a week, using presentation slides tailored to our work activities
  • Keep workers updated on recent construction-related incidents in Singapore and share the relevant learning points
  • Assist in developing company safety materials, such as safety handbooks, site guidelines and non-compliance penalty frameworks
  • Keep up to date with MOM and WSH regulatory requirements relevant to our works

Requirements

  • Minimum WSH Coordinator (WSHC) Level B certification
  • At least 2 years of experience in a safety role within construction or civil works
  • Familiar with safety documentation and submissions required by main contractors and clients (e.g. RA, SWP, PTW, inspection checklists)
  • Able to conduct incident investigations and prepare reports
  • Able to prepare simple presentation slides and deliver briefings clearly to site workers
  • Valid Class 3 or Class 2B driving licence required
  • Independent, firm in enforcing safety, and able to communicate effectively with site workers
  • Comfortable with a site-based role, including weekend and night checks, and full-time site deployment when required
