Store Officer
Responsibilities:
Managing the organization's store and inventory. Receiving and checking purchased items. Verifying quantities against purchase orders and delivery notes. Properly storing and labeling items. Recording all stock movements. Issuing materials based on approved requisitions. Maintaining minimum and maximum stock levels. Conducting weekly/monthly/quarterly stock counts. Reporting shortages, damages, and discrepancies. Preparing regular inventory reports. Ensuring proper storage conditions for different types of materials. Monitoring fast-moving and slow-moving items. Preventing unauthorized access to the store. Keeping accurate records of school/office supplies and equipment. Supporting procurement by providing information about stock levels. Ensuring FIFO is used where appropriate, particularly for items with expiry dates. Reporting items approaching expiry or becoming obsolete. Maintaining a clean and orderly store environment.
Requirements:
Minimum of OND in Purchasing and Supply, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
A degree or professional qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Inventory Management is an advantage.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other inventory-management tools. 2–3 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory management, procurement, logistics, or a related position.
Previous experience in a school, company, hospital, hotel, or other structured organization is an advantage.
Experience handling stock records, stocktaking, receiving, and issuing materials.

Issue materials only with proper authorization.
Conduct regular physical stock counts.

Identify damaged, expired, missing, or obsolete items.
Prepare inventory and stock reports.
Maintain proper filing of invoices, delivery notes, requisitions, and other documents.
Keep the store clean, secure, and properly organized.
Use Excel or inventory software to track stock.
Work closely with Procurement, Accounts, Administration, and other departments.
