KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Identify workplace hazards, assess risks and recommend control measures.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses and follow up on corrective actions.
- Deliver safety inductions, trainings, and toolbox talks to employees and contractors.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with HSE regulations, standards, and client requirements.
- Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and documentation.
- Promote a positive safety culture and encourage employee participation in HSE initiatives.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure safe execution of construction activities.
- Ensure proper waste management and environmental protection on site.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Professional certification of NEBOSH.
- Proven experience in health, safety, and environmental management, with a focus on industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices, including OSHA, EPA, and ISO requirements.
- Excellent knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk management principles and methodologies.
- 3–5 years’ experience in building and construction.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and HSE management systems/software.
