Job description: For our client we are looking for a Mechanical Installation Leader.

Background: The team supports the sales process and assures implementation of sold projects. This means that the total solution of the production line for the customer is designed, calculated and produced within this department. All client contact is maintained by employees as they are present on site during implementation. The department is functionally split up between North and South Germany (incl. Austria) and supervised by 2 managers, located in each office respectively.

Job description: Transform the contract commitments into action plans for all site activities in the project. Monitor, coordinate and coach the project team work on site in accordance with plans, budgets and contract requirements. The site manager leads discussions and negotiations with customers and suppliers. He reports to the project manager. The Site Manager has normal tasks and additional tasks for his role as competence coach.

Key responsibilities

• Be overall responsible for all site activities (preparation, installation mechanical incl. hand-over) in project execution and provide project leadership to deliver project result
• Secure project deliverables according to project agreement (the contract) with customer and suppliers and act according to responsibilities in the project charter
• Breakdown and plan the site activities into phases and fulfill the plan and project milestones in time and in full according to budget (installation and commissioning)
• Drive productivity in project through utilization of processes and tools
• Manage scope changes and issue variation orders on site
• Secure project communication and documentation for all site activities according to project communication plan
• Give input to provide lesson learned and providing input to improvement or development of processes and tools
• Coordinate all OHS activities on site

Key Performance Indicators:

• Customer Satisfaction
• Scope: gaps in pre and post calculations of mechanical installation
• Actuals in planning of site activities (timelines, according to budget)
• Secure Quality in the site phases in projects

Additional tasks:

• Calculate installation in pre-projects
• Give feedback to PM and SM reg. performance of suppliers
