We're looking for a hands-on Prep Technician Lead who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. In this role, you'll lead the preparation, assembly, packing, and quality review of exhibit structures and event components, ensuring every project is event-ready, on time, and built to the highest standards.

What You'll Do

As the Prep Technician Lead, you will:

Lead and direct prep technicians and contractors on assigned projects.

Review staged projects to ensure quality, accuracy, and completion before shipment.

Interpret blueprints and pick lists to verify all exhibit components are accounted for.

Assemble, install, dismantle, and prepare exhibit structures and related components.

Safely pack exhibit materials on skids and crates according to company standards.

Ensure all projects are prepared efficiently while meeting strict production schedules and event deadlines.

Troubleshoot project issues and collaborate with the Prep Supervisor to develop effective solutions.

Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other equipment safely and efficiently.

Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks.

Follow company health and safety policies and federal safety regulations.

Maintain accurate production and time records for payroll and project tracking.

Consistently follow company processes and quality standards.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

1–2 years of related experience in exhibit production, event staging, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or a similar environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience leading or directing small teams is preferred.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project documentation.

Experience operating forklifts and aerial lifts (such as scissor lifts).

Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and material-handling equipment.

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Ability to lift, move, assemble, and dismantle exhibit structures in a physically active environment.
