Installation Project Engineer (Turnkey Solutions)

Job Purpose Support the growth of the turnkey business by providing timely and competitive technical solutions, project cost estimates, and engineering designs. The role is responsible for developing mechanical and electrical system designs, preparing cost calculations, analyzing operating costs, and supporting the sales and project teams in winning profitable turnkey projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering Design & Technical Solutions

• Prepare mechanical, refrigeration, and electrical system designs for turnkey projects in accordance with customer specifications and project deadlines.
• Develop system layouts, equipment sizing, technical drawings, and project documentation.
• Evaluate alternative technical solutions to optimize project performance, energy efficiency, and investment costs.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, local regulations, and company guidelines.

1. Cost Estimation & Commercial Support

• Prepare detailed project cost estimates including equipment, materials, manpower, subcontractors, logistics, and installation costs.
• Compile and analyse manpower and material costs to ensure maximum competitiveness in the market.
• Benchmark project costs against market pricing and competitor offerings.
• Support the preparation of turnkey quotations and technical-commercial proposals.

1. Running Cost & Feasibility Analysis

• Calculate operating and lifecycle costs of various technical solutions.
• Conduct ROI, payback period, and energy-consumption analyses to support customer decision-making.
• Recommend the most cost-effective solution balancing investment cost and operating efficiency.
• Support value-engineering initiatives to improve project profitability.

1. Project & Stakeholder Coordination

• Work closely with Sales, Project Management, Procurement, and Installation teams to ensure technical accuracy and project feasibility.
• Support customer meetings by providing technical presentations and engineering recommendations.
• Clarify technical requirements and resolve design-related issues throughout the project lifecycle.

1. Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve design efficiency, quotation accuracy, and project profitability.
• Develop estimation tools, standard costing databases, and design templates.
• Monitor market trends, material prices, and emerging technologies relevant to turnkey projects.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in engineering design, estimation, turnkey projects, MEP systems, refrigeration systems, or retail construction projects. Experience in AutoCAD and engineering design software. Strong cost estimation and financial analysis skills. Ability to prepare technical and commercial proposals. Good command of English.
