Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Work site environment:
Noisy.
Tasks:
- Minimize hazards at all stages of the food production process.
- Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies.
- Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions.
- Prepare production and other reports.
- Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units.
- Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies.
Supervision:
Process control and machine operators, food and beverage processing. 50-100 people.
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses :
Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
Area of work experience:
Quality assurance or control.
Regulations knowledge:
Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulations. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Work conditions and physical capabilities:
Fast-paced environment. Attention to detail. Work under pressure.
Personal suitability:
Excellent oral communication. Judgement. Team player. Reliability.
Experience:
1 year to less than 2 years.
