SR. Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer Department: Engineering / Maintenance Location: Egypt Industry: Food Manufacturing / FMCG Job Purpose Responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment within the manufacturing facility. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, electrical fault diagnosis, and supporting equipment and engineering improvement projects to ensure uninterrupted production. Key Responsibilities Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities for electrical equipment and production machinery.

Troubleshoot electrical faults and breakdowns to minimize equipment downtime and production interruptions.

Monitor the performance and condition of electrical systems and recommend corrective actions and improvements.

Maintain and troubleshoot electrical panels, control panels, motors, sensors, VFDs, PLCs, and other industrial electrical systems.

Follow preventive maintenance schedules and ensure all maintenance activities are completed on time.

Diagnose electrical and control system issues and perform root-cause analysis for recurring failures.

Coordinate with Production and other Engineering functions to resolve electrical and equipment-related issues.

Provide technical guidance and support to electrical maintenance technicians.

Support the installation, commissioning, modification, and improvement of electrical equipment and production lines.

Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, control schematics, and technical documentation.

Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for electrical maintenance and technical requirements.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.

Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, electrical efficiency, and maintenance costs.

Ensure compliance with company safety standards, electrical procedures, and applicable regulations.

Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering .

3–6 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging, beverage, pharmaceutical, or similar industries is highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.

Hands-on experience with industrial motors, electrical panels, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, contactors, relays, and control systems .

Good understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.

Experience in troubleshooting electrical and control system failures.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.

Good knowledge of industrial automation and electrical control systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Good command of MS Office and Excel.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and respond to production-critical breakdowns.
