Responsibilities:

Proven hands-on experience drafting, reviewing, and managing loan agreements, security instruments, guarantees, and other credit-related documentation.

Strong working knowledge of Nigerian banking, finance, and credit-related laws and regulations, including BOFIA, CAMA, AML/CFT regulations, and data protection laws.

Practical experience with perfection of security interests, including CAC filings, landed property registries, stamp duties, and other relevant regulatory filings.

Solid understanding of credit risk, recovery processes, and enforcement of security interests.

High attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of documentation efficiently and accurately.

Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with credit, risk, operations, and compliance teams.

Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years of experience. A minimum of a degree in law.
