Technical Fashion Designer

Job Description Create accurate technical drawings and flat sketches for garments.

Develop and maintain detailed Tech Packs for all styles.

Prepare garment specifications, measurements, construction details, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).

Develop and maintain measurement/specification sheets and size charts.

Review samples and provide detailed fitting and technical comments.

Conduct fit sessions and communicate required corrections to the relevant teams.

Follow up on sample development from the first sample through final approval.

Work closely with pattern makers, merchandisers, suppliers, and production teams.

Ensure that designs are technically feasible and suitable for mass production.

Check garment construction, measurements, trims, fabrics, and finishing details against approved specifications.

Communicate technical changes and revisions clearly to suppliers and production teams.

Maintain accurate records of style revisions, sample approvals, and technical documents.

Support the development of new styles, fabrics, trims, and construction techniques.

Identify technical issues during sampling and production and suggest appropriate solutions.

Ensure all approved specifications are followed during production.

Stay updated on garment construction techniques, fabrics, and industry standards.

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile, Apparel, or a related field.

2–4 years of experience in Technical Fashion Design, Garment Production, or a similar role.

Strong knowledge of garment construction and manufacturing processes.

Excellent understanding of measurements, grading, fit, and sizing.

Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, and garment finishing.

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and other relevant fashion design software.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Experience with creating and managing Tech Packs.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and problem-solving skills
