Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary:

Al Amir Garment Factory is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Maintenance Engineer (Manager) to lead and manage all maintenance activities within our ready-made garment manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of production machinery, utilities, and facility equipment while minimizing downtime and improving overall maintenance performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise the maintenance team and daily maintenance operations.

Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans.

Ensure maximum availability and reliability of production machinery and equipment.

Reduce machine downtime and improve overall equipment efficiency.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems.

Prepare and follow preventive maintenance schedules for all production equipment.

Manage maintenance activities for garment production machines and supporting equipment.

Monitor and maintain factory utilities, including electrical systems, compressors, generators, boilers, and other facility equipment.

Ensure the availability and proper control of spare parts and maintenance materials.

Prepare maintenance reports, KPIs, and downtime analysis.

Develop improvement plans to increase equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Coordinate with Production, Quality, Planning, and other departments to minimize production interruptions.

Train, guide, and evaluate maintenance engineers, technicians, and team members.

Manage maintenance budgets and control maintenance-related costs.

Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, relocation, and improvement projects.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field .

Minimum 10 years of experience in maintenance , preferably within Ready-Made Garments, Textile, Denim, Woven, or Manufacturing Factories .

Experience in maintaining specialized sewing jeans and gabardine machines is a must.

Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in a managerial or supervisory maintenance position .

Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing machinery and industrial equipment.

Excellent knowledge of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance systems.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Experience in managing factory utilities and infrastructure is highly preferred.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent breakdowns effectively.

Good analytical and reporting skills.

Experience with maintenance KPIs, downtime analysis, and continuous improvement programs.

Good knowledge of health and safety requirements in industrial environments.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Good command of English is preferred.
