Education:
No degree, certificate or diploma.
Work site environment:
Other miscellaneous crop farming. Other vegetables and melon farming (except potato).
Tasks:
- Consider water saturation, light and temperature when planning for crop growth and development.
- Develop specific plans to prioritize.
- Implement soil fertility programs.
- Organize tasks to accomplish the work.
- Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting.
- Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed.
- Maintain quality control and production records.
- Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
- Perform general farm duties.
Supervision:
5-10 people.
Equipment and machinery experience:
- Harvesters.
- Seed drill.
- Sprayer or duster.
- Tractor.
