aircraft avionics technician
Education:
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Avionics maintenance technology/technician. or equivalent experience.
Work site environment:

Tasks:
- Inspect electrical and avionics systems.
- Install aircraft instruments.
- Ensure that the installation, maintenance, repair and overhaul of systems meet Transport Canada and company standards of performance and safety.
- Overhaul aircraft instruments.
- Repair and overhaul, modify, install and test aircraft electrical systems and equipment.
- Test electrical, electronic and instrument components.
- Troubleshoot communications, navigation, and autoflight equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, install and inspect aircraft systems and components.
Aircraft experience:
- Small turboprops.
- Large turboprops.
