Ensure the PYP (KG) curriculum is planned, resourced, and assessed to the highest standard

Be responsible for the progress and attainment of your students

Collaborate with your team and the KG team as a whole to ensure consistency and high standards

Learning and Teaching

Plan, prepare and deliver consistently very good or better lessons to all students

Provide teaching strategies according to the educational needs, abilities, and achievement of individual students and groups of students

Make use of data to understand the individual needs of the students

Regularly assess and provide constructive and informative feedback

Make impactful use of home learning and extra-curricular learning opportunities

Set high expectations for all students and encourage all to meet their full potential

Ensure your classroom environment reflects current learning, inspires students, promotes inclusivity, and is always presentable

Contribute to a corridor environment which celebrates and promotes outstanding student learning and inclusivity

Contribute to the collaborative planning process as required by your year group/subject team

Provide cover work as per the absence policy for all classes missed through absence

Set purposeful learning activities for students absent from school due to health or behavioral reasons

Contribute to ECA programs to ensure students’ academic, sporting and enrichment needs are met

Plan for, model, and assess the development of approaches to learning (ATLs) to support students in becoming independent, reflective, and lifelong learners

Tracking, Assessment, Recording, Reporting

Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, attainment, achievement, and behavior of all students

Make effective use of formative and summative assessment to plan challenging learning opportunities for all students

Participate in standardizing and moderating activities

Prepare students for internal and external assessments as required

Ensure Managebac and Seesaw are maintained and updated as per the assessment policy

Attend all relevant parent teacher conferences as per the calendar

Complete a formal IB external reporting three times a year as guided by the leadership team

Pastoral Duties

Maintain high levels of positive behavior and discipline in line with the school policies and ethos

Promote the positive well-being and mindfulness of each individual student and the class as a whole

Follow up issues of persistent lateness, absence or incorrect uniform

Contribute to the preparation of action plans for students and other support mechanisms

Integrate UAE social studies and moral education into the inquiry-based curriculum, ensuring alignment with IB philosophy and school policy while fostering international-mindedness and intercultural understanding
