Job Title: Restaurant Cook (Rojak Specialist)

Location: 8 Lim Teck Kim Road Opp to Genting Centre, Singapore 088937

Salary: $3500-$4000

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and passionate Restaurant Cook with experience in preparing Rojak to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in traditional and modern Rojak preparation, a strong understanding of kitchen operations, and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. The Restaurant Cook will be responsible for preparing meals according to the menu, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and ensuring food safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook Rojak and other menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards.

Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality expectations.

Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including proper food storage.

Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.

Assist in inventory management and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.

Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.

Adhere to portion control and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.

Receive and store deliveries properly.

Handle customer dietary requests and allergy considerations appropriately.

Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting.

Specialized knowledge and experience in preparing Rojak.

Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.

Understanding of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene regulations.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs if required.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Culinary school training or relevant certification is a plus but not required.
