Project Manager – Construction

£40,000 – £45,000 based in We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a construction background to join a well-established and successful business. This is a hands-on, office-based role managing multiple projects from the initial customer enquiry and quotation through to procurement, delivery, site works and final completion . You will act as the main point of contact throughout the project, coordinating customers, suppliers and contractors and ensuring each project is delivered on time, within budget and to the required standard.

Responsibilities

• Managing multiple projects from initial enquiry through to completion
• Preparing quotations, estimates and proposals
• Liaising with clients to establish project requirements
• Reviewing project specifications and requirements
• Sourcing materials and obtaining supplier quotations
• Negotiating prices and lead times with suppliers
• Raising and managing purchase orders
• Managing project costs, schedules and deadlines
• Coordinating suppliers, contractors and site activities
• Arranging site visits and surveys where required
• Scheduling deliveries and works
• Ensuring relevant project and site documentation is in place
• Monitoring projects through to successful completion
• Resolving issues and managing changes throughout the project
• Maintaining regular communication with clients
• Managing completed projects through to final invoicing

The ideal candidate

You will have previous experience within construction or a closely related project environment and be accustomed to taking responsibility for projects from start to finish. You will ideally have:

• Construction project management experience
• Experience managing projects involving both supply and on-site works
• Good commercial and estimating skills
• Purchasing/procurement experience
• Experience dealing with suppliers and subcontractors
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• The ability to manage several projects simultaneously
• Confidence dealing directly with clients
• Good Microsoft Office skills

This role would particularly suit someone from a construction, fit-out, refurbishment, interiors, building products or specialist subcontracting background who is used to managing the complete project lifecycle.

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 Hours: 8.00am – 5.00pm Full-time | Office based
