*Contender Logistics Ltd.* is looking for an Account Manager to join our growing team.
Founded in 2019, Contender Logistics is a Canadian freight brokerage providing transportation solutions throughout Canada and the United States. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an Account Manager who can take ownership of an established book of business, build strong customer relationships, and help us grow those accounts over the long term.
*The Role*
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and development of an existing portfolio of Contender Logistics customers.
You'll work closely with an Account Executive to identify opportunities to increase revenue and gross margin within your accounts, while partnering directly with our Operations and Customer Service teams to ensure shipments are quoted accurately, executed smoothly, and customers receive a consistently high level of service.
This is a relationship-driven role for someone who enjoys working with customers, understands the importance of strong execution, and has a commercial mindset.
*What You'll Be Doing*
- Manage an established portfolio of Contender Logistics customers
- Build strong, long-term relationships with key contacts within your accounts
- Act as a primary day-to-day point of contact for your customers
- Develop a strong understanding of each customer's business, shipping requirements, lanes, volumes, and service expectations
- Work alongside an Account Executive to identify opportunities to increase shipment volume, revenue, and gross margin within existing accounts
- Work closely with our Operations team to ensure freight is quoted accurately and competitively
- Coordinate with Operations and Customer Service to ensure shipments are moving smoothly and service expectations are being met
- Proactively communicate shipment updates, delays, and potential issues to customers
- Help resolve service issues and escalations quickly and professionally
- Review account activity and identify customers, lanes, or opportunities where we can expand our relationship
- Participate in regular account reviews and customer check-ins
- Maintain accurate customer information, notes, and activity within our internal systems
- Help improve customer retention and increase the overall value of your assigned book of business

- Ability to work collaboratively across Sales, Operations, and Customer Service
- Previous experience in transportation, logistics, freight brokerage, or a similar industry is preferred
- Previous account management or B2B customer relationship experience is an asset
- Experience working with transportation management systems or CRM platforms is an asset
