Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Lagos. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including posting journal entries, maintaining accurate ledgers, and reconciling bank and company accounts. The role includes preparing financial statements, monitoring budgets, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing. The Accountant will support month-end and year-end closing activities, assist with audits and tax filings, and maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. The individual will collaborate with internal teams to provide financial analysis, support cost control, and contribute to process improvements that enhance financial efficiency.

Qualifications

Strong skills in general accounting, including ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management. Ability to manage accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and expense tracking with high accuracy. Experience using accounting software and spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel) for data analysis and reporting. Knowledge of relevant tax regulations, audit processes, and local financial compliance requirements. Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is an advantage. Prior experience in a media, production, or related industry is beneficial. Ability to work on-site in Lagos and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 3- 4 years experience
