Project Engineer Cum Inspector

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and detailed inspections of road and transport-related structures and assets under the LTA contract.
• Carry out site inspections and condition assessments to identify defects, deterioration ,damage, and maintenance issues.
• Inspect concrete structures , including via ducts, bridges, decks, columns, beams, parapets, and other structural elements.
• Identify and assess common defects such as cracks, spalling, delamination, corrosion ,water seepage, joint defects, and concrete deterioration .
• Record inspection findings accurately using inspection checklists, photographs, measurements, and relevant inspection systems .
• Prepare inspection reports, defect reports, condition assessment reports, and recommendations for rectification or further investigation.
• Monitor and follow up on rectification works to ensure identified defects are properly addressed.
• Ensure all inspection activities are carried out in accordance with LTA requirements, approved procedures, drawings, specifications, and safety requirements .
• Assist in planning and coordinating inspection schedules and site activities .
• Maintain proper records of inspection results, photographs, drawings, reports, and other project documentation.
• Attend site meetings and coordination meetings and provide updates on inspection progress, findings, and outstanding issues.
• Assist the Project Manager/Resident Engineer with technical and administrative matters related to the inspection works.
• Ensure timely submission of inspection reports and other required deliverables.
• Perform any other duties related to the RM106A inspection and maintenance works as assigned by the Project Manager.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering .
• Relevant experience in structural inspection , preferably for LTA or other Singapore infrastructure projects.
• Familiar with concrete defects, structural deterioration, inspection methods, and condition assessment .
• Able to prepare technical inspection reports and documentation .
• Good knowledge of Singapore construction standards and LTA requirements .
• Willing to work outdoors, at site, and during off-peak/night inspection hours where required .
