Clothing for Events – Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire

Permanent, full-time: Mon–Fri, 08:30-17:00 hrs

About us

Clothing for Events is a family-run uniform business supplying workwear and PPE to some of the UK's biggest hospitality, utilities & civil engineering companies. We've been going since 2004 and our in-house embroidery team puts our customers' brands on thousands of garments every year.

The role

We're looking for someone keen and hands-on to join our production team. You'll learn to run our multi-head embroidery machine from scratch, branding everything from polo shirts and fleeces to softshells and hi-vis jackets. No experience is needed, we'll train you.

What you'll do

  • Hoop and load garments accurately onto the embroidery machines
  • Set up and run jobs from approved designs, including thread colours and placement
  • Check finished work for quality, then trim, finish and pack orders
  • Carry out basic machine care such as needle changes, thread changes and cleaning
  • Keep your work area tidy and safe, and help hit daily production targets
  • Over time, learn to digitise designs, train others & run your own shifts

What we're looking for

  • A good eye for detail and pride in a neat finish
  • Steady hands and patience, some jobs are fiddly
  • Reliability and good timekeeping
  • Willingness to learn and ask questions
  • An interest in textiles, fashion or making things (a bonus, not essential)

What you'll get

  • Competitive salary
  • Full on-the-job training
  • Standard holiday allowance
  • A niche and transferable skill
