Perform physical and chemical analysis of water, wastewater, chemical, oil and other project-related samples using appropriate laboratory equipment, instruments and approved test methods, including parameters such as pH, COD, TDS, TSS, heavy metals and other relevant parameters.

Conduct sampling, sample preparation, preservation, labelling and testing in accordance with established procedures to ensure sample integrity and accurate analytical results.

Analyse and interpret laboratory results, identify abnormal or out-of-specification results, and provide appropriate technical recommendations to the Project and Operations teams.

Support the assessment and characterisation of wastewater and waste streams to determine appropriate treatment, handling and disposal requirements.

Provide technical support for wastewater treatment operations, including monitoring treatment performance, chemical dosing requirements and treatment effectiveness.

Assist in determining suitable treatment methods and chemical dosages through laboratory testing, jar tests, bench-scale trials or other applicable treatability studies.

Support chemical cleaning and industrial cleaning projects by reviewing chemical requirements, concentrations, compatibility and relevant analytical parameters where required.

Work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers and Operations personnel to investigate and resolve water treatment, wastewater, chemical and process-related technical issues encountered during projects.

Generate, analyse, review, record and maintain laboratory test results and analytical data, ensuring that records are accurate, traceable and properly controlled.

Prepare laboratory reports, test certificates, technical findings and other documentation as required for internal use, customers or regulatory purposes.

Independently troubleshoot analytical methods, laboratory instruments and equipment, and take appropriate corrective action where practicable.

Develop, review and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), laboratory test methods, work instructions and related documentation.

Conduct internal training and provide technical guidance to relevant employees on sampling, testing procedures, chemical handling and laboratory practices where required.

Ensure laboratory activities comply with the Company's ISO management systems, HSE requirements, applicable procedures and regulatory requirements.

Ensure chemicals, standards, reagents and laboratory substances are properly labelled, stored, handled and disposed of safely, with the relevant Safety Data Sheets(SDS) readily available.

Monitor laboratory chemicals, reagents, consumables and inventory levels and arrange timely purchase/replenishment to minimise operational downtime.

Monitor the condition and performance of laboratory instruments and equipment and coordinate calibration, certification, preventive maintenance and repair with approved third-party vendors or service providers.

Maintain calibration, maintenance and certification records for laboratory instruments and ensure equipment is within the required validity period before use.

Coordinate with external accredited laboratories for tests that cannot be performed internally, including preparation and submission of samples, follow-up of results and maintenance of proper test records.
