Director Of Finance

General Description The Director of Finance provides strategic financial leadership and serves as the chief financial advisor to the Vice-Chancellor. The role encompasses oversight of all financial operations, ensuring the integrity, stability, stability and sustainability of the University's financial resources Key Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic and financial leadership Budget Development & Management Financial reporting, control & compliance Management Accounting & Performance Evaluation Treasury, Payroll & Stores management Technology, systems & process enhancement Stakeholder engagement & leadership

Qualification Required & Experience

Minimum Academic and professional requirements A master's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field Mandatory professional certification ACCA, CIMA, CPA or ICA A minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience, with progressively responsible senior management roles in finance and administration preferably in a large, complex organization Experience within a multi-campus university system will be an advantage

Technical Knowledge & Skills

Strong expertise in financial, accounting and service management systems Proficiency in the use f modern accounting software packages Knowledge of resource allocation models, revenue enhancement strategies and financial planning tools Ability to participate actively in planning and major policy decisions at the institutional level Familiarity with the regulatory environment for tertiary institutions and fund management or demonstrable ability to acquire such knowledge quickly
