THE ROLE

Under the direction of a Senior Manager, Military Family Services, the Program Support Manager will be responsible for providing leadership to a team within the Enhanced CAF Child Care Program (ECCCP) team.

This is not a typical job, it?s a chance to shape the future for military families. If you're interested in leading people and activities aimed at supporting military families, specifically in relation to increasing their access of critical services such as child care, and have a drive for work that directly impacts families, we want you on our team.

You will play a key role in connecting families to resources, helping tell the story of why access to child care matters and liaise and engage with your team and other teams within MFS and CFMWS to mobilize a network of support required to enhance the operational readiness of military members and the well-being of their families. You will oversee activities aimed to support families through military challenges like relocations, deployments and transitions, specifically in relation to increasing their access of critical services such as child care.

The successful candidate will bring several years? experience in managing programs and people, and working in program development and community engagement, communications, outreach and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

Your work will directly impact military families and help increase access to child care and make resources more accessible while working in a dynamic environment that values collaboration, community, and making an impact.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

Bachelor's degree in Community Development, Family Studies, Education, Management or a related field, AND several years of experience in managing family or community development services

In developing, implementing and overseeing family related programs

In measuring and analyzing service performance

In personnel administration

In project management

In planning and conducting presentations, workshops and briefing sessions
