Introduction

Most product design internships mean personas in a slide deck. This one means sitting with real LNG traders, watching where they get stuck, and fixing it in the product the same week. Calypso Ventures is an AI startup from Berlin, founded by two Oxford graduates. Our software helps some of the world's largest energy companies trade LNG smarter and cuts CO2 emissions equal to what 330 million trees absorb in a year. Design at Calypso is research-led and AI-driven: we talk to users, prototype with AI tools, refine in Figma and ship in days instead of months. As our Product Design & UX Research intern, you own the "why" behind the screens, not just the pixels. Women are currently underrepresented in our tech team. Tasks

You run user interviews and usability tests with traders at global energy companies and turn what you learn into product decisions You design flows, information architecture and data-heavy screens (dashboards, pricing tools, AI assistants) from first sketch to Figma handoff You work AI-first: prototype with AI tools, test with users, ship within weeks You build and maintain research artefacts the whole team uses: interview notes, journey maps, a living insight library

Profile

You are an enrolled student and your degree requires a mandatory internship (Pflichtpraktikum, 4 to 6 months) You have first design or research work of your own, university projects fully count You are curious about how people make decisions with complex data, and comfortable working in English Not sure you tick every box? We offer
