Nurse/Phlebotomy Nurse

Type: Full-time, on-site (shifts) Location: Maadi Job purpose Draw blood and collect samples safely and correctly, with patient comfort, correct identification, and sample integrity as the priority. Key responsibilities

• Verify patient identity against the request before every draw.
• Perform venipuncture and capillary sampling for all age groups; collect other specimen types per protocol.
• Label and handle samples correctly (right tube, order of draw, mixing, temperature) and log collection time.
• Prepare and maintain the collection room, trolley, and consumables
• Accurately update and report inventory
• Follow infection control and biosafety: PPE, hand hygiene, safe sharps disposal into the correct red/black bins.
• Manage patient reactions (fainting, hematoma) with first-line response.
• Route samples to the correct lab section with complete documentation.

Qualifications & requirements

• Nursing diploma or bachelor's degree (Technical Institute of Nursing or Faculty of Nursing).
• Valid nursing practice license.
• Proven venipuncture skill, including pediatric and difficult draws.
• Infection-control knowledge; Hepatitis B vaccinated.
• Patient-friendly manner and steady under pressure.
