*Project Manager ? Residential Renovations*
Big Dog Renovations Toronto and GTA
Big Dog Renovations is hiring an experienced Project Manager to lead residential renovation projects across Toronto and the GTA, typically spanning Oakville to Whitby and north to Newmarket.
This is a field-focused role for someone who can take ownership of active job sites while keeping the full project on track. You?ll coordinate trades, maintain schedules, inspect work, communicate with clients, document progress, and address issues before they cause delays or rework. You?ll also complete on-site work when needed to keep projects moving.
*What You?ll Be Responsible For*
- Managing assigned projects from pre-construction handoff through final closeout
- Coordinating trades, suppliers, deliveries, disposal, inspections, and client access
- Building and maintaining project schedules and rolling two-week look-aheads
- Reviewing scopes, drawings, site conditions, selections, and risks before each phase of work
- Inspecting workmanship, site protection, cleanliness, safety, and progress
- Giving trades clear direction and holding them accountable for quality and timing
- Keeping clients and the internal team informed through updates, photos, and documented decisions
- Identifying change orders and obtaining documented approval before extra work begins
- Preventing avoidable downtime, rework, missed details, and lingering deficiencies
- Completing on-site work as needed to keep projects moving
*What We?re Looking For*
- Proven experience supervising and managing residential renovation or construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, quality control, job-site logistics, and renovations in occupied homes
- Confidence directing trades and making timely decisions on site
- Strong organization and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Clear, professional communication with clients, trades, and the internal team
- Ability to identify scope gaps, schedule risks, quality concerns, and change orders early
- A proactive approach to solving problems and following through
- Pride in maintaining safe, clean, protected, and professionally managed sites
- Comfort using project management software and digital tools to track schedules, communication, and progress
- A valid driver?s license and reliable transportation for travel throughout the GTA
*Nice to Have*
- Experience in new home construction or larger design-build projects
- BCIN qualification or experience working with building designers, engineers, and permit drawings
- Education or professional experience in engineering, particularly structural or civil engineering
*Compensation and Benefits*
- Starting salary of *$80,000 per year*
- Performance bonuses with illustrative earning potential of *$8,000 to $20,000+ annually*
