Job Purpose
The Localization Project Coordinator (Thai) is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, tracking and quality review of Thai localization and LQA projects across assigned titles and content scopes.
The role works closely with the Localization Manager, internal project teams, external translation vendors and LQA vendors to ensure timely delivery, linguistic consistency, clear documentation and continuous improvement of Thai localization quality.
This position will be responsible for seamlessly managing all localization and LQA activities for assigned titles, serving as the primary point of coordination across internal stakeholders, vendors, and QA teams. Responsibilities include project planning and execution, vendor management, linguistic quality oversight, issue tracking, reporting, knowledge-base maintenance, and ensuring timely delivery of localization milestones. Final budget, vendor, project, and commercial approval authority will remain with the Localization Manager and/or designated internal approver.
Why This Role Matters
This role supports BNEAS in building a scalable Thai localization model by strengthening vendor coordination, improving linguistic consistency, maintaining title-specific language assets, and ensuring knowledge continuity across projects and vendors. The role is important in reducing dependency on individual translators and supporting smoother vendor transition, project hand over and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities

- Track project milestones, dependencies, risks, open issues and pending decisions, and escalate delays or quality concerns to the Localization Manager in a timely manner.
- Coordinate project requests and workflows using memoQ and/or other CAT tools, TMS platforms or internal tracking tools, where applicable.
- Support delivery alignment across translation, LQA, internal review and final submission stages.
- Ensure translated materials and related deliverables are coordinated accurately and delivered according to agreed timelines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for localization processes, tools, and workflows, including the evaluation and implementation of automation and AI-assisted solutions where appropriate.
2. Vendor Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate day-to-day communication with Thai translation and LQA vendors, including project briefing, query handling, delivery follow-up, issue tracking and feedback consolidation.
- Brief vendors on project scope, schedule, source materials, style requirements, terminology expectations, delivery format and quality requirements.
- Act as the day-to-day contact point for vendor queries and consolidate questions for internal clarification where required.
- Maintain vendor communication records, open issue logs and action trackers to ensure clear follow-up and timely resolution.
- Provide structured feedback to vendors and escalate quality, schedule, scope or delivery risks to the Localization Manager for decision-making.
3. Thai Linguistic Quality Review
- Conduct Thai linguistic spot checks on vendor deliverables to review terminology, tone, consistency, cultural appropriateness, text accuracy and adherence to project guidelines.
- Review translated content from vendors, including translation and LQA deliverables, to identify recurring linguistic or quality issues.
- Provide practical and structured linguistic feedback to vendors to support quality improvement and calibration.
- Recommend Thai linguistic acceptance or rejection for review by the Localization Manager, where required.
- Support quality calibration with LQA vendors and internal stakeholders to improve consistency across titles and content types.
4. Localization Knowledge Base & Language Asset Management
- Build and maintain Thai localization knowledge assets, including title-specific glossaries, translation memories, style guides, terminology notes, character/IP-specific translation rules and recurring issue logs.
- Compile title-specific translation tips, vendor handover notes and project learning points to support continuity across vendors, projects and internal team changes.
- Maintain and update Thai terminology references to ensure consistency across different documents, content types and project phases.
- Support proper documentation of Thai language decisions, approved terminology and localization guidelines for future reference.
- Assist in identifying gaps in existing language assets and recommend improvements to strengthen localization quality and efficiency.
5. Weekly Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare weekly Thai localization progress reports for the Localization Manager / BNEAS localization team, covering project status, vendor progress, key risks, quality issues, pending decisions and next actions.
- Prepare post-project summaries, issue trends, quality observations and improvement recommendations to support future localization planning.
- Document recurring vendor, process or quality issues and propose practical workflow improvements.
- Support the development and maintenance of localization guidelines, best practices, reporting templates and project tracking documents.
6. Schedule and Cost Tracking Support
- Track localization and LQA schedules, delivery milestones and vendor submission status, and highlight risks to the Localization Manager and relevant internal stakeholders.
- Support cost tracking by maintaining records of vendor quotations, purchase requests, invoices and approved budget references, where applicable.
- Coordinate with the Localization Manager and designated internal approvers on cost reporting, project status and required follow-up actions.
- Monitor potential schedule or cost risks and provide timely updates; however, budget ownership, vendor commercial negotiation and approval authority remain with the Localization Manager and/or designated internal approver.
7. LQA Coordination Support
- Support LQA coordination for all localized content, including issue follow-up, bug and defect clarification, vendor query management, and status tracking across assigned languages, including but not limited to Thai, Bahasa Indonesia, English, and other languages as required.
- Assist in checking localized content for language-related issues, inconsistencies or terminology deviations during LQA review stages.
