Education:
Registered Apprenticeship certificate. or equivalent experience.
Work setting:
On-site customer service.
Tasks:
- Prepare written estimates of repair costs.
- Diagnose faults, using testing devices.
- Replace faulty components.
- Use shop equipment and specialized diagnostic and programming apparatus to repair, adjust and reprogram appliances.
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses :
- Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 2 or B.
- HVAC Certificate.
Security and safety:
- Driver's validity licence check.
- Driving record check (abstract).
Transportation/travel information:
- Valid driver's licence.
- Vehicle supplied by employer.
