Manager

Job Description

Supervise daily housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms, public areas and assigned facilities meet cleanliness and service standards.

Plan staff deployment, prepare duty rosters and monitor attendance to ensure sufficient manpower and timely completion of work.

Conduct regular inspections, address cleaning deficiencies and follow up on maintenance issues.

Train and guide housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safe equipment use and workplace safety.

Monitor cleaning supplies, linen and equipment, ensuring proper usage and stock control.

Handle housekeeping requests and feedback professionally, liaise with clients and management, and submit daily operational reports.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a supervisory or team leader role within a hotel or similar environment.
• Good knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene standards and the safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
• Responsible, hands-on and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and resolve operational issues.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
