Job description

We are seeking a Western-trained consultant in critical care / intensive care medicine to join a leading hospital in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide specialist and consultant-level care to critically ill patients and contribute to multidisciplinary intensive care services.

Key responsibilities

Provide consultant-level assessment and management of critically ill patients.

Manage patients requiring intensive monitoring, organ support and advanced critical care.

Lead and participate in multidisciplinary clinical discussions and treatment planning.

Perform and supervise critical care procedures within the physician's scope of practice.

Respond to acute deterioration and medical emergencies.

Collaborate closely with anaesthesia, emergency medicine, surgery and other specialist teams.

Supervise and support junior doctors and clinical staff.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies.

Participate in quality improvement, clinical governance and patient safety initiatives.

Contribute to teaching, training and professional development activities.

Requirements

Qualifications

Western-trained consultant in critical care / intensive care medicine.

Recognised specialist/consultant qualification from an approved Western jurisdiction.

Strong post-qualification clinical experience in critical care.

Experience managing complex adult critically ill patients.

Current professional registration/licence in the country of practice.

Eligibility for DHA licensing in Dubai, subject to DHA assessment and approval.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary hospital environment.

Benefits

The maximum package is AED 45,000 per month, inclusive of housing and travel allowance.
