The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils both academically and personally. You will work closely with class teachers and the wider school team to help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils with their learning on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
• Working alongside teachers to deliver engaging classroom activities.
• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Providing pastoral support where required.
• Supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning.
• Contributing to a safe, inclusive and positive classroom environment.

The successful candidate will be:

• Passionate about working with children and supporting their development.
• Patient, caring and approachable.
• Confident building positive relationships with pupils.
• Reliable, enthusiastic and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Organised and able to respond calmly to different situations.
• Experienced working with children or young people.
• SEND experience is desirable but not essential.
