Backend Developer

ASAP Digital Apps Lombok is looking for a Backend Developer to join our technology team and help build, maintain, and scale our digital platform.

You will be primarily responsible for developing reliable backend services, APIs, real-time communication systems, search functionality, notifications, and integrations that support our growing digital products.

We are looking for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, understands backend architecture, and is comfortable working with modern technologies and real-time systems.

Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and improve backend services using Node.js. Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and GraphQL APIs. Build and maintain real-time communication features using WebSocket. Implement real-time messaging and device communication using MQTT. Develop and maintain search functionality using Typesense. Implement and manage push notification services using Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). Design and optimize database queries and backend processes. Develop secure and scalable APIs for web and mobile applications. Integrate third-party services and external APIs. Troubleshoot bugs, investigate system issues, and improve application reliability. Optimize backend performance, scalability, and response time. Monitor existing services and assist with deployment and production issues. Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver new features. Maintain clean, structured, testable, and well-documented code.

Requirements Minimum 1 years of experience as a Backend Developer or Software Engineer. Familiar with payment gateway (Xendit) Good Knowledge of MySQL and Sequelize ORM Strong experience with Node.js. Good understanding of REST API and GraphQL. Experience with WebSocket and real-time applications. Experience with MQTT is a strong advantage. Experience with Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). Experience with Typesense or other search engines such as Elasticsearch is a plus. Understanding of database design, optimization, and API security. Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices. Basic understanding of frontend development is required. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
