About the Role
My client is looking for Project Management Officers to support the technology function of a leading financial institution.
This role combines financial management, management reporting, workforce planning and stakeholder coordination . You will work closely with Finance, Technology, HR, platform leads and vendors to ensure financial and workforce information is accurate, timely and ready for management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and report on project financials , including actuals, forecasts, budgets and variance analysis.
- Support month-end closing activities , including accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Assist with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting , including data validation and consolidation.
- Track project costs, cost allocations, recoveries and savings.
- Prepare management reports and PowerPoint presentations for governance and decision-making.
- Support resource planning, headcount budgeting and capacity management .
- Track hiring requests from approval through onboarding and closure.
- Maintain accurate workforce and resource records across relevant systems and trackers.
- Monitor vacancies, hiring progress, attrition and resource movements.
- Work with internal teams and vendors to resolve financial, workforce and operational issues.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline .
- Ideally 3â4 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, financial reporting, PMO or workforce management.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, including month-end closing, accruals, prepayments, financial reporting and reconciliation .
- Experience in budget vs actual analysis and variance reporting .
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Good PowerPoint skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise management presentations.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Banking or technology finance experience will be an advantage.
