Key Responsibilities
- Develop reliable and maintainable software.
- Follow coding and engineering standards.
- Review requirements and provide technical feedback.
- Design and build cloud-native applications.
- Provide project estimates and join Agile/Scrum meetings.
- Maintain technical documentation.
- Support non-functional testing.
- Conduct design and code reviews.
- Guide junior team members.
- Provide Level 3 production support.
- Investigate and resolve application issues.
- Work with vendors on technical deliverables.
- Review vendor solutions and ensure they meet company standards.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in Java/J2EE and cloud-native development .
- At least 3–4 years of experience with cloud-native development, Docker and Kubernetes .
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Experience with streaming technologies or Hadoop is an advantage.
Functional Skills
- Understanding of payment processing and cash management systems.
- Good knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with Agile and Scrum.
- Knowledge of software design methods.
- Experience with payment processing systems is an advantage.
- Experience working with complex and distributed systems.
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Java/J2EE .
- Strong knowledge of Spring Framework , including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Integration and IoC.
- Experience with Spark Streaming or similar tools.
- Knowledge of messaging platforms such as IBM MQ, RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka .
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes .
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Helm, Argo CD, Jenkins, GitLab Runner, Nexus, Harbor, Maven or Gradle .
- Experience with GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket .
- Experience with TDD/BDD and testing tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Selenium or SoapUI.
- Knowledge of Oracle and PostgreSQL .
- Knowledge of HBase and MongoDB is an advantage.
- Knowledge of application design, development, testing, deployment and support.
- Experience with UML and impact assessment.
- Experience with Shell scripting and tools such as Ansible.
- Experience with performance tuning and fault-tolerant systems.
- Knowledge of Go, Rust or Python is an advantage.
