Finance Manager

Alwan Tex | Egypt Alwan Tex is a growing company specialized in cotton textile and fabric manufacturing , with an integrated production process covering yarn, weaving, dyeing, finishing, warehousing, and sales . We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Financial Manager to lead the company's finance and accounting function, manage the existing accounting team, ensure accurate financial reporting, and establish strong financial controls and processes.

Key Responsibilities Financial & Accounting Management Manage and oversee all accounting and financial activities of the company.

Lead and supervise the existing accounting team.

Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.

Review and approve accounting entries, reconciliations, and financial records.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Ensure proper closing of monthly and annual accounts.

Maintain strong internal financial controls and accounting procedures.

Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements.

Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Develop and maintain an effective cost accounting system for the company's textile operations.

Calculate and analyze product costs across the production process, including yarn, weaving, dyeing, and finishing .

Monitor manufacturing costs and identify cost variances.

Analyze Actual vs. Standard/Budgeted Costs .

Support management in pricing and profitability decisions.

Analyze product profitability and contribution margins.

Monitor production-related expenses and overhead allocation.

Provide management with financial insights to support operational and production decisions.

Accounts Receivable & Customers Manage customer accounts and accounts receivable.

Monitor customer balances, credit limits, and payment terms.

Follow up on outstanding receivables and overdue payments.

Prepare aging reports and cash collection forecasts.

Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of customer accounts.

Accounts Payable & Suppliers Manage supplier accounts and accounts payable.

Review supplier invoices and payment requests.

Ensure accurate reconciliation of supplier balances.

Monitor payment schedules and cash requirements.

Coordinate with Procurement and other departments regarding supplier payments.

Cash Flow & Financial Planning Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts.

Manage daily cash positions and liquidity requirements.

Support budgeting and financial planning activities.

Monitor actual performance against budget.

Provide management with financial analysis and recommendations.

Team Management Lead, supervise, and develop the existing accounting team.

Assign responsibilities and monitor team performance.

Review team output and ensure accuracy and compliance.

Identify process gaps and implement improvements.

Establish clear accounting procedures and responsibilities.

Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field .

8+ years of relevant experience , including experience in a managerial/supervisory accounting role.

Strong experience in General Accounting, Cost Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Financial Reporting .

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

Experience in the Textile, Fabric, Cotton, or related manufacturing industry is a strong advantage.

Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures and inventory accounting.

Experience managing and developing an accounting team.

Strong knowledge of budgeting, cash flow, financial analysis, and internal controls.

Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Good command of English.
