Junior Electrical Design Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Engineering Support
Assist in preparing basic electrical calculations, including lighting level calculations, total connected load, initial voltage drop, and cable sizing under the supervision of a senior engineer.
Support the drafting and modeling of electrical layouts, including power distribution, lighting systems, containment routes, single line diagrams (SLDs), and grounding/lightning protection layouts.
Draft basic Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) system layouts, including fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and structured cabling setups.
- Software & Drafting Operations
Produce clear, precise 2D drafting outputs in AutoCAD and develop 3D BIM models using Revit MEP in accordance with project templates and standards.
Perform lighting simulations using software such as Dialux or Dialux EVO to verify illuminance requirements.
Required Skills: Demonstrated proficiency and practical experience with AutoCAD , Electrical Engineering principles, strong Design capabilities, and expert knowledge of Revit , Revit MEP , and DIALux . Additionally, candidates must possess strong abilities in Technical Drawing , understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts, knowledge of Power Distribution Systems , expertise in Lighting Design and Lighting Calculations , experience with Cable Sizing , familiarity with Code Compliance , excellent Project Coordination skills, robust Problem-Solving aptitude, and effective Communication Skills .
Experience Requirements: A minimum of 2 to 8 years of hands-on experience in electrical design or a related engineering field.
