We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, dynamic and creative Assistant Head Teacher for Junior School (Years 5 & 6) who would like the opportunity to work in a progressive and student-centered Junior School.

Typical responsibilities include:

To help lead the school in the policies and practices of continuous school improvement and staff development in relation to Junior School.

To play a major role in the development of high quality teaching and learning in the Junior School.

To lead, motivate, support, challenge and develop staff to secure the highest standards and expectations.

Contribute to the effective and efficient management of the school.

Job specification

Successful candidates will hold a relevant bachelor’s degree, a Bachelor of Education or the international equivalent.

A successful candidate will:

Have excellent subject and curriculum knowledge.

Have excellent classroom practice.

Have excellent knowledge in UK curriculum.

Have experience teaching second language speakers, which would be advantageous.

Encourage and foster a teaching environment built on respect, inspiration and motivation.

Work collaboratively and creatively with colleagues.

Paperwork requirements

Notarized and attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements.

The selected applicant will be required to provide a criminal records check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) before employment is confirmed. Candidates from outside the authority of the DBS will be required to provide an approved certificate from a similar authority in the country in which he or she is currently residing.
