Hard rock quarry incorporating crushing and screening plant / Asphalt Laying Contracting business /Asphalt Producing Plants SHE Performance: LTIs, NLTIs, Near Hits, Task Audits Site Improvement Plans, Targets and delivery; adoption of Operational Quick Wins/SOPs/Best Practice Quality Control: meeting customers’ needs – deliveries on time; rework in workshop on mobile plant for contracting; workshop performance; product compliance

Key Interfaces and Relationships Production Manager, Maintenance Manager, Asphalt Plant Operators, Workshop Supervisor, Asphalt Plant & Workshop Manager, Relevant Foremen, Storeman, Maintenance Coordinator, Operations Manager Industries, Asst Quarry Manager, SHEQ Officials, Assistant Quarry Manager, Operations Manager-Industries/Contracting, Plant/Quarry Operational personnel, Contractors on site.

• Take reasonable care for the safety and health of themselves and others.
• Co-operate with management and front-line supervision in complying with legal requirements and company SHEQ standards, safety rules and safe systems or work.
• Take part and actively participate in SHEQ training.
• Take part in legal and company health screening when required.
• Must not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interests of safety, health, welfare or the environment.
• Wear all appropriate personal protective equipment as per site rules, safe systems of work, and as instructed by management or front-line supervision.
• Report all unsafe situations to management.
• Report all incidents and damage to management whether persons are injured or not.

Essential Qualifications

• Certification of qualification

Experience/Achievements

• 5 years’ experience in similar environment / role

Know-How

• Strong Mechanical Knowledge
• Working knowledge of key plant/machinery
• Good understanding of mechanical equipment
• A good general understanding of Asphalt / Quarry plant operations would be advantageous.
• Ability to work safely
• Working knowledge of key plant/machinery
