DELIVERY LORRY DRIVER
Job Description
- Drive company lorry to deliver goods, machinery, equipment, and materials to customers, suppliers, and project sites.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure the lorry is in safe and roadworthy condition.
- Load, unload, secure, and transport goods safely to prevent damage during transportation.
- Check delivery orders, invoices, and other relevant documents before and after delivery.
- Obtain customers’ acknowledgement and signatures for completed deliveries.
- Plan delivery routes and ensure goods are delivered on time.
- Assist with loading and unloading of heavy or bulky items when required.
- Follow all traffic laws, company safety procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
- Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the company vehicle.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, damages, or maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Send vehicles for servicing, inspection, repairs, or maintenance as instructed.
- Assist the warehouse or operations team with packing, moving, and arranging goods when required.
- Perform other delivery, transport, and general duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
Job Requirements
- Valid Singapore Class 3 / Class 4 driving licence, depending on the vehicle assigned.
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant lorry driving or delivery experience preferred.
- Experience in handling machinery, equipment, industrial materials, or bulky goods will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Singapore roads and traffic regulations.
- Physically fit and able to handle loading and unloading of goods.
- Responsible, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Able to work independently and follow delivery schedules.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to complete delivery documentation accurately.
- Candidates with a clean driving record will be preferred.
